The Atmel- AVR – ATmega8 is a low-power CMOS 8-bit micro-controller based on the AVR RISC architecture. By executing powerful instructions in a single clock cycle, the ATmega8 achieves throughputs approaching 1MIPS per MHz, allowing the system designer to optimize power consumption versus processing speed.
Special Microcontroller Features
The Atmel – ATmega328/P is a low-power CMOS 8-bit microcontroller based on the AVR® enhanced RISC architecture. By executing powerful instructions in a single clock cycle, the ATmega328/P achieves throughputs close to 1MIPS per MHz. This empowers system designer to optimize the device for power consumption versus processing speed.
The PIC16F627A/628A/648A family is supported by a full-featured macro assembler, a software simulator, an in-circuit emulator, a low cost in-circuit debugger, a low cost development programmer and a full-featured programmer. A Third Party “C” compiler support tool is also available.
