The MQ-9 gas sensor is a highly sensitive and reliable sensor designed for detecting carbon monoxide (CO), methane (CH4), and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). This sensor operates using a metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) principle, where gas concentration changes its resistance, providing measurements.
This Carbon Monoxide (CO) and flammable gas sensor MQ 9 detects the concentrations of CO and combustible gas in the air and outputs its reading as an analog voltage. The sensor can measure concentrations of CO from 10 to 1,000 ppm and flammable gas from 100 to 10,000 ppm.
It features a fast response time, high sensitivity, and long lifespan, making it useful for applications such as air quality monitoring, gas leak detection, industrial safety, and home automation. The adjustable sensitivity via onboard potentiometer supports flexible usage in different environments.
